FAQ

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes, but it is only an estimate.  

The first visit usually requires a deep cleaning, and will take longer than maintenance cleanings.  We can tell you about how long it will take during the first visit to clean the house, but we really won't know exactly until we dive in and get cleaning. 

After the first cleaning is done, and sometimes even the second cleaning, we will be able to settle into a routine where we know how long each visit will take.

For this reason, we charge by the hour on the first visit, and can change to a per-cleaning fee on subsequent visits.

Do I need to provide anything for the housekeeper?

Unless otherwise agreed upon, we normally use your vacuum, broom, dust pan, etc.  Please don't forget extra vacuum bags, trash bags(all sizes), and a toilet brush.  If you want us to use any special cleaners (polishes, floor cleaners etc.) please leave them out for us as well.

How do I make a payment?

Payment can be either cash or check.  Please leave the payment on the counter on the day of cleaning. The payment must be presented before services are rendered.

Do I have to be home when my housekeeper arrives?

It is important for us to do a complete walk-through of your home together.  This is usually done at the time of the estimate, but if not, please try to do it during our first cleaning visit.If this is not possible your house keeper will work from a either our priority list or one supplied by you.

What if I have holidays plans and do not want to have my home cleaned while I am away?

If you have holiday plans and need a temporary cancellation of your cleaning services, please call to make arrangements with us. We will put your cleaning on hold until you are back from your holiday.

Do you offer gift certificates?

I need to record my business expenses. Can you provide me with invoices and statements?

Yes, we can supply them for you.

Are you pet-friendly?

Yes.  Please introduce us to your pet during our first visit.  Let us know where your pet will be during cleaning.  If dogs need to be put out during cleaning please let us know. We cannot enter a house if animal is showing aggressive behavior. Sometimes a crate is a great solution. We will not be responsible for pets charging out the door when our cleaners are entering or exiting the home.  Unless agreed upon in advance, we will not clean animal feces, urine, litter boxes or kennels.

What if my cleaning falls on a holiday?

If your scheduled cleaning falls on a standard holiday we will contact you to reschedule.

What is your cancellation policy?

Although a 7 day notice is appreciated, we must have at least have a 24 hour notice prior to cancelling or re-scheduling service. If we do not receive a notice 24 hours prior to your cleaning it will result in a $35.00 cancellation fee. Being on the schedule means that we are reserving a time slot for your home or office, and if cancelled last minute we have no way of filling that spot and the arrival times for other customers change at the last minute

What should I do before the housekeepers arrives?

We would appreciate if items were picked up off the floor (toys, clothes etc.) Also please secure jewelry, cash and other valuables.  This will allow us to devote all of our time in your home to cleaning which will result in giving you the best value for your cleaning fee.
